Islamic Fashion Festival Kuala Lumpur 2011
presents 'Oriental Charm'...
Week-long Fashion Extravaganza to Benefit Charity Organisations



Kuala Lumpur, 14 November 2011: The annual Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) flagship event in Kuala Lumpur presented the theme 'Oriental Charm' at its week-long fashion extravaganza from the 14th to 18th of November 2011 at JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur.
Under the distinguished patronage of YABhg Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Datp' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, the IFF Kuala Lumpur 2011 is the 19th event to be held since the IFF was founded in 2006 by IFF Founder and Chairman Dato' Raja Rezza Shah.

A total of 14 showcases will be held throughout the five-day event, with over 60 amazing designers from famous cities of different countries including Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bali, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo and Sydney as well as the renowned international brand, Kenzo from Paris.
One of the IFF's core visions and missions is to carry out its social responsibility to assist the unprivileged, the ill and the needy. With this said, the IFF's fund-raising efforts have benefited over 40 NGOs and charities. The ministries hosting the showcases are the Tourism Ministry Malaysia and the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry Malaysia. The NGOs and charity organisations are Association of Muslim Apparel Entrepreneurs & Designers (AMAED), Federation of Women Entrepreneur Association Malaysia (FEM), Badan Amal Kasih Sayang Malaysia (BAKASA), Council of Justices of the Peace of Selangor (JP Selangor), Tuanku Najihah Foundation, Persatuan Bencana Alam Negeri Kedah (PBANK), Young Designers Arena (YODA) and Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra.
The Kuala Lumpur IFF will be graced by royal guests-of-honour Her Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong, Their Royal Highnesses the Sultan and Sultanah of Kedah, the Sultan and Sultanah of Kedah, the Sultan and Sultanah of Pahang, the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, the Tengku Puan Pahang, the Raja Puan Besar Perak Darul Ridzuan, the Raja Muda and Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Ampuan Najihah, Tunku Nora Ismail and Raja Puan Muda Perak Darul Ridzuan. Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister's wife, YABhg Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman is also a guest-of-honour alongside VVIPs including Tourism Minister YB Dato' Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen and Women, Family and Community Development Minister YB Senator Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

In keeping with the IFF theme of 'Oriental Charm', the designers' collections are also inspired by things Oriental.
