The selected winners will be trained and groomed by supermodel Amber Chia, and catwalk guru Benjamin Toong. They will go on to represent Malaysia at the annual Asia New Face Model Search (ANFMS) 2012, which will be held in conjunction with the prestigious 7th Asia Model Festival Awards in Seoul, Korea. This will be the first time for Malaysia to compete in the ANFMS.

The search saw over 500 contestants submitting their applications through online registrations, as well as from attending a one-stop only road show audition at the Damansara Jaya campus of KDU University College.
The top 51 contestants were faced by judges Chia, Toong, professional models Esther Tan and KS Tan during callback auditions at Amber Chia Academy, where they were supposed to be cut down to only 12 contestants. However, due to the stellar performances given by the semi-finalists during the auditions, combined with the accumulation of SMS voting (which contributes to 50% of their final scores), the judges deliberated and decided to form a top 16 instead.
"The potential displayed by this bunch of models is of such high quality and all four judges found it really difficult to select just the top 12, Moreover, they had such strong support from their fans, family and friends through SMS voting, making it an even tighter race," - Benjamin Toong.

The eight promising female models who made it through to the top 16 are Ancy Look Yeen Hua, Eileen Chuah Zhi Ung, Jayarubini a/p Sambanthan Muthaliyar, Josephine Chin Oi Mun, Kao Yu Ling, Reina Lim Huay Fung, Sabrina Beneett, and Wafa Johanna de Korte while the eight fine male models consist of Aven Chop Kah Whai, Bradley Lim Chee Hou, Bryan Ho Fung Ron, George Tan Zhuo Chun, Kurt Chin Ke Liang, Lim Gian Yang, Soo Xu Ze, and Yap Zi Xin.

These triumphant 16 will then undergo an Amber Chia Academy boot camp with activities such as makeover session, training on the right posing technique by Chia herself, and catwalk training by Toong in preparation for their showdown during the grand finale.

Besides Chia and Toong, other judges on the esteemed panel for the grand finale will include the Chairman of the Korea Model Association Yang Eu-Sig, President of the Korea Pro Makeup Association Ahn Mi-Ryeo, and renowned Korean model and actress Lee Hwa-Seon.
The highly anticipated grand finale will be taking place at Zouk Club Kuala Lumpur on the 28th November 2011. Both the female and male winners, as well as their respective runners-up, will win all-expenses paid trip to Seoul, Korea where they will undergo a one week modeling boot camp with one of Korea's top modeling schools in preparation for the ANFMS 2012.
