Not enough by being naturally gorgeous, these women don't just have the flair for style, but they are also born to dominate the online fashion market in Malaysia and the rest of the world!
Nadzirah and Diyana are the ladies behind Friendlyfashion.my, the first online community closet in Malaysia (Read our previous write up on Friendlyfashion here). Nadzirah, who is the eldest, is the founder of the company while her sister Diyana takes the role as the marketing & communications person.
"Malaysia has such great potential for pre-loved clothing and online market kind of thing,"
- Nadzirah With just after a few months debuting Friendlyfashion on Facebook, they have received over 3,000 fans from the social networking site!

Nadzirah: Well, we started Friendlyfashion together because I knew someone from Lithuania who’s able to start this project and they’ve already done it in Germany, in UK, in Czech Republic and I was really interested in the idea and thought that Malaysia has such great potential for pre-loved clothing and online market kind of thing so I started it and then I roped in Di (Diyana) and we decided it would be really really cool to do it together as sisters. And since we both share clothes and things like that so I was like Malaysia has such great potential for pre-loved clothing and online market kind of thing So yeah, that’s how it all began.
WoM: As sisters, do you have any arguments/disagreements with each other when handling the business?
Diyana: Yes, absolutely, of course! I mean, it wouldn’t be normal right, if we didn’t have fights?
Diyana: But it’s usually for a good reason and it always ends up being productive which is an upside, because she’s my older sister and she’ll always guide me and tell me what I’m doing wrong and stuff like that. But I will always tell her like, ‘hey, lepak lah’ , you know, ‘don’t be too hard on me’ that kind of thing.
Nadzirah: Yeah, I mean, we definitely have a good relationship and you don’t mix personal emotions with business. I mean, we sat down with each other in the beginning and we say ‘Okay, you know, this is working and we have to know where to separate the line and whatever upset feelings we have, we have to put it aside later’, because you know, we live together and at the end of the day, blood is thicker than water.
WoM: Any future plans on expanding the business?
Nadzirah: Definitely planning on expanding the business. We’re trying to get more people to be able to embrace this because we all know we have clothes that we haven’t worn in a long time, the shoes, the accessories. So this business has a lot of potential and hopefully, because we’re the first one in Malaysia and Asia for Friendlyfashion, they already had it in different countries in Europe, we hopefully would love to expand it other parts of South East Asia because we can definitely see that happening.
WoM: Do you girls have the same style and idea when it comes to fashion?
Both: No, no! (Laughs)
Diyana: Our styles are completely different. Like, Nadz has always been the kind of person who’s funky and she likes to add clothes together, I don’t know how she does it but she likes to wear layer after layer, sometimes there’s tank top, and then there’s this, there’s that and I’m like, that’s too much. And because of that, her closet is way bigger than mine!
Nadzirah: And Di, she likes to be basic. And she’ll use basic items but she’ll come to my room and raid my closet and she just uses one piece, two pieces. But yeah, I have more clothes but we share them.
Diyana: It’s a good balance I think because we match each other’s styles somehow like, I like some of the things she has, she likes some of the things I have only that she would spice it up and I would like, just make it as basic as possible.

WoM: Lastly, is there any personal message or advice that you would like to share with all the young women out there in Malaysia?
Diyana: Well, to the women of Malaysia out there, if you ever have anything that you want to do, you want to achieve, I say just go out and do it. Confidence is key and no matter what you say or you think like, if you think that there’s someone out there who doesn’t believe in you, trust me, there’s always someone out there that believes in you. And we women in Malaysia believe in each other so do what you need to do and go for it!
Nadzirah: Yes, I totally agree with Di! Everything you said, fantastic, you took it out from me! So just do what you want to do and whatever you believe in, just go for it because that’s what we did and you should do it too! So yeah, good luck with everything.
Diyana: Much love!
