Owning one of the most worthy names in the world - Diana, is a one-of-a-kind fashionista who designs and blogs her way to the top with her amazing creativity and style.
A graduate student of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya campus, Diana Azmi is a fashion blogger,headband designer and stylist. Being at a very young age of 23, Diana has been invited to many renowned fashion shows in Malaysia. She is the author of a fashion blog entitled The-Fashion and I and has since embarked her fashion philosophy into a whole new level.
WoM: Tell us a little bit about Fashion and I. When and how did you start the business?
Diana: The Fashion and I is actually a blog that concerns fashion, style and me! It’s just a source of inspiration to my followers out there. Currently, I am doing a small headband business,100% handmade by me. I have no specific blog or website for my brand. So I just upload them in my personal blog to test the market. Who knows, maybe one day THE FASHION AND I will have its own shop and website/blog.
WoM: What or who made you become inspired to do these headbands?
Diana: I started wearing headbands when I started following this one famous fashion blogger from France, Miss Pandora, last year. As an ex-fashion student, I love to do something crafty and D.I.Y, including making headbands. I started to make them for myself at first and posted the pictures on my blog. Surprisingly, people love my headband and asked me to sell it through my blog or Facebook.
WoM: Besides producing these amazing headbands, do you have any other products that you plan to design in the future? (Clothing, shoes, etc..) Diana: It would definitely be accessories! Because I shop a lot of accessories. And I love to collect them as well besides clothes and shoes.
WoM: What do you think about Malaysia’s fashion industry? Are you happy with it?
Diana: So far I see Malaysia’s fashion industry going forward on the creative side but I still want to see more. It’s hard to say whether I'm happy or not with it, but I guess it's okay. I'm just proud that I am a part of Malaysia’s fashion industry.
WoM: If you were given a chance to have a famous celeb/public figure to endorse your brand, who will it be? (International & local)
Diana: For international , definitely my favourite fashion blogger, Louise Ebel from Miss Pandora and Florence and the Machine. For local, I would love to have Nur Fazura and Atilia to wear my headbands.
WoM: Lastly, is there any personal message or advice that you would like to share with all the young women out there in Malaysia?
Diana: Just be whatever you think you want to be and don’t be afraid to achieve your goal. Be fabulous, and think positive!
