Dovey-Lovey - No Ordinary Fashionistas!

They have the look, the style and the brains! Cheryl, Katherine, E-jia and Chaoyan aren't just pretty, they also know how to rock the fashion line like no other. These four gorgeous ladies have recently been venturing into the fashion business together with their own blogshop, Dovey-Lovey. Though they may be young, their mentality towards the online business are much wiser then their petite figures.


WoM has the exclusive cover on Dovey-Lovey with one of the founders, Cheryl:







WoM: Tell us a little bit about Dovey Lovey. When and how did you girls start the business together?

Cheryl: The birth of Dovey-Lovey was in 2 years back which is in year 2009. I was 15 and I really loved online shopping. There were only a few famous blogshops back in 2009, and the choices were really limited. Ideas of setting up a blogshop ran all over my mind, and I said, why not? Katherinne has great fashion sense and she has passion for fashion, which is the main reason why we are partners. We gathered all the information that we needed and tada! The birth of Dovey-Lovey. Due to the heavy workload, E-jia and Chaoyan joined us during 2010.

WoM: Being a team of four girls, is it easy to handle the business together?

Cheryl: Frankly speaking, it is not an easy job. We girls had struggled and gone through hard times at the very beginning. Occasionally, we have different opinions thus causing conflicts between us. Fortunately now we are coping well.

WoM: Have you girls ever had any setbacks with each other while handling this business? Who is in charge of what?

Cheryl: Initially, we faced some difficulties. As stated in the previous questions, we girls have conflicts, and currently Katherinne, E-jia and ChaoYan are attending college, which is equivalent to plenty of assignments and a hectic schedule. As for me, I am still attending high school and I am currently preparing for my senior year examination which is SPM. We girls had a really hard time. Nevertheless, each of us now is in charge of multiple tasks; customer service, modelling, photography, item dispatching and delivery and so on which smoothen the process and divide the tasks equally among four of us.

WoM: The clothing that you have chosen, what made them different from the other clothing lines?

Cheryl: All apparels are handpicked by us girls. All four of us have different styles and sense in fashion, hence, resulting in a wide range of styles in the apparels that we have brought in. Every piece has been chosen carefully and the quality of the apparels is ensured. Majority of our apparels are not commonly found out there in the blogsphere, which makes us stand out compared to others. Apparels by Dovey-Lovey never fail to impress!

WoM: Do you girls have any plans on opening up your own boutique in the future?

Cheryl: Yes we do have bigger plans for our little dream. We are planning to manufacture our own clothing line, and set up a webstore in the future. About opening up our own boutique, it's definitely a yes in the future.

WoM: Lastly, is there any personal message or advice that you would like to share with all the young women out there in Malaysia?
