If no is your answer, think again! Amalina and Sara are no ordinary mothers, they have started an online boutique selling hijab clothing just at the end of last year and has proven that MOTHERS DO KNOW MORE ABOUT FASHION!
Ammarahijabi, a muslimah chic boutique that caters to women of all ages, has been a great hit to the muslim women with its unique and stylish collection specially picked by these two supermoms. Though they've just started this business last year, Ammarahijabi has reached many fans around the nation with more than 7k followers on their Facebook page in just a few months after its inception. Ammarahijabi has also appeared in numerous number of magazines, fashion shows and even a tv shoot in TV9's Safiyya!

WoM: Tell us a little bit about Ammarahijabi. When and how did you begin with this line?
Ammara: We ( Amalina and Sarah ) started Ammarahijabi a few months back in November 2010, we were both stay-at-home moms who love to shop online until we came up with an idea to start up our own clothing line. We started sketching , drafting ideas , made research by referring to the latest designer collections, ask for opinions from friends and family and then the rest just took part naturally after that.
WoM: What makes Ammara Hijabi different from other hijab fashion lines available?Ammara: When you wear a hijab, it's a way of showing people that you indeed respect yourself and in a way, it makes other people respect you in return. We try to make hijab clothing as stylish and comfortable as possible to any type of age group, be it young teenagers to mothers of 3, as well as different body types. Everytime we come up with a new collection, we try to style every item in every colour with suitable look, including accessories and scarves. So we do not only sell the clothes, we sell the whole style as well.
WoM: Is there any individual/celebrity who has inspired you in selecting your hijab clothing collection?
Ammara: We are mostly inspired by many fashionistas who we meet everyday, in real life or in the blogging world. we also try to implement the runway collections into our designs by making them modest and wearable for any lady, hijabi or not. We must say, most ladies in hijab nowadays have a great sense of fashion, for example, the very well known Hana Tajima … we just love how she makes fashion seem effortless and yet so stunningly beautiful....as for our local fashion bloggers, we love Ami Schaheera from SPTNKSWTHRT , Shea Rasol and other local bloggers. They are definitely an inspiration to many ladies.
WoM: Any future plans for your business?

WoM: What do you think about the fashion industry in Malaysia nowadays?
Ammara: Malaysia has evolved a lot in sense of fashion. our local fashion designers has also made a lot of incredible designs that caters to our hijab sisters...for example, Puteh by Rizalman. Malaysians are very fashion conscious now, we pick up latest trends really fast , and with the convenience of having variety of choices from simple tops by Zara to high end designers collections like Chanel, we have it all here.
WoM: Lastly, is there any personal message or advice that you would like to share with all the young women out there in Malaysia?
Ammara: The most alluring accessory on a woman is their self confidence, we are unique in our own way, try to find your best quality and embrace them. Give yourselves credit all the time for being a woman because we are awesome!
